Delivered & Signed For!

Our package has reached it's destination. It was finally delivered in Kirkos Sub-city, Addis Ababa. It found the hands of the right person and was signed for. 

Praise God for a smooth delivery! I feel very grateful for Gods provision during this whole dossier process and pray that He will sustain us to the end. 

Package ARRIVED!

I looked this morning and the package has made it to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The package has not yet been sent to its location but will soon be out for delivery. I think when it's day over here it's night over there and vice versa. Or something pretty close to that! Addis Ababa is where Josh and I will fly into on both of our trips to Ethiopia. One to go to the Embassy and one to pick up our child. 

I will blog again when the package has actually reached someone's hands. 

What a fun journey to follow. Who knew international mail traveled this fast! 

Where's the package now?

I checked this morning and it looks like our package is in Dubai. Admittedly, I wasn't quite sure where the United Arab Emirates was on the map, so I had to do a little research to figure out its exact location. I can't believe how quickly the travel has gone. One step closer.... :)

Package Update

The package is now in France! It's crazy to me that it went from the U.S. to France in a day. Currently the package is at the Roissy Charles De Gaulle airport waiting to take off. Apparently, the weather in the East didn't have any effect on our package getting out of the states. Good news!

Package Update!

I checked the FedEx site today and it looks like the package was in Herndon, VA by the end of the day yesterday. This morning it went from Herndon, VA on Memphis, TN. There was a notice at the top of the screen stating that there might be delays in the days ahead due to severe weather in the Eastern U.S. We'll see....

Dossier SENT!

Well it happened! Our dossier is officially on its way to Ethiopia. And happy we are!  Now begins the tracking process via FedEx. I will be checking the FedEx website periodically and then I'll blog about it's location until it reaches it's final destination, Addis Ababa. We hope you'll follow along with us.

Dossier Arrived!

Yesterday our adoption agency, America World, received our dossier. Here's the email we received from our family coordinator:

"I just received your family’s dossier this morning!  After one check through, the dossier looks great!  The dossier will undergo another staff check and then will be taken to the Department of State and the Ethiopian Embassy for certification/authentication.  Assuming that all goes according to schedule, your dossier will be mailed to Ethiopia on Friday, 2/14/14.  This will be your official DTE.  You’ll receive an email by close of business on that Friday with mailing confirmation and a Fedex tracking number so that you all can follow the package’s trek to Africa."

We are very excited and plan to track the package the entire way. We'll keep you posted!!
